Group Workshops (for Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts, and other youth organizations)

One Hour Workshop- Do a spin-art project on the wheel and a hand building project in clay.  Cost includes glazing and firing of one piece per participant.                                                                                                      
Cost:  $20.00 per person, June-September / $15.00 per person, October-May

Two Hour Workshop- Learn to throw a pot on the potter's wheel! Cost includes firing and glazing of one piece per participant.
Cost:  $ 36.00 per person, June-September / $23.00 per person, October-May

Return To Glaze Workshop-  In this one hour workshop your group can return to the studio to learn about glazing.  Students will  make a glaze "from scratch", and will glaze their work using the "dipping" method.         
Cost:  $15.00 per person

Adults, Create Your Own Party/Workshop (6 person minimum)

Get together with a group of six to ten friends and schedule your own private party or workshop.

$22.00 per person, per hour, 2 hour minimum, June-September / $16.00 per hour, per person, 2 hour minimum, October-May

Cost includes bisque firing of up to two pieces per person per session.  Participants have the option of returning during Open Studio to glaze their work.  Open Studio fees apply.

"Use of the Grounds" Option (seasonal)The Garden is yours!  You bring the picnic, treats, drinks and eating utensils.   You will have full use of the Garden Pavilion, rope swing, carpet ball, hammocks and fire pit.  
Cost:  $50.00 for first hour, $20.00/hr. additional

The Art and Science of Clay

This six week class is especially designed for home school students from ages 5-17.

The class includes:
- Instruction in both hand building techniques and working on the potter's wheel 
- Opportunity to hold and study ceramic objects from around the world  
- A brief study of the origin and history of clay and kiln firing shared through age appropriate books and video  
- A lesson in measuring and mixing a glaze from powdered metals and rocks  
- A list of recommended books for further reading

Class capacity: 6-8 students
